We are seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer who embodies technical excellence, operational discipline, and customer-focused leadership. This is a high-impact role supporting PerceptView’s expanding portfolio of C-UAS, radar, EO/IR, video analytics, SIGINT, and electronic warfare technologies.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Senior Field Service Engineer at PerceptView, you will play a key role in leading field operations, overseeing system demonstrations, managing product sustainment, and supporting the integration and evaluation of emerging technologies. You will represent the company in front of customers, partners, and stakeholders—helping validate system performance, shape future product evolution, and ensure mission readiness.

Type: On-Site Full Time(Travel Required) / In Person

Work Week: Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm (subject to change depending on need)

Location: Garden City, Idaho

This role executes leadership and technical responsibilities across four core mission areas:

1. C-UAS & Video Target Tracking Demonstration Director

Plan and execute high-visibility demonstrations of PerceptView’s C-UAS and video tracking capabilities. Coordinate personnel, develop briefing materials, manage logistics, and deliver polished, customer-facing technical demonstrations that highlight system performance and value.

2. Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) Director

Lead all aspects of FAT planning and execution to ensure PerceptView products meet stringent performance, reliability, and quality standards prior to delivery. Oversee all resources, documentation, validation steps, and technical sign-off. This will serve as the primary near-term focus for selected candidate.

3. Support & Sustainment Lead (Fielded Products)

Serve as the primary technical interface for deployed PerceptView systems. Support new system deployments, oversee lifecycle sustainment activities, coordinate repairs, and ensure high operational readiness for all fielded equipment.

4. Test & Evaluation Support (Emerging Technologies)

Provide hands-on support for test campaigns, prototype evaluations, and field experiments. Work closely with engineering teams to gather data, document results, identify improvements, and contribute to product refinement.

Additional Responsibilities include:

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that elevate field service efficiency, product reliability, and customer satisfaction.

  • Identify opportunities to optimize installation methods, sensor performance, system integration, and maintenance processes.

  • Deliver training, mentorship, and knowledge transfer across PerceptView teams, enhancing organizational technical capability.

  • Promote a culture of accountability, technical rigor, and mission-focused execution.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of field service engineering experience in C-UAS, including system installation, integration, troubleshooting, and sustainment.

  • Direct experience with radar, EO/IR video trackers, video analytics, SIGINT, EW, and other relevant sensing and effecting technologies in operational or field environments.

  • Proven leadership supporting field operations, demonstrations, or acceptance events with customers or external partners.

  • Strong working knowledge of FAT, SAT, OSAT and system validation procedures, including documentation and compliance processes.

  • Deep troubleshooting capability across electrical, mechanical, RF, networking, and software components.

  • Hands-on experience supporting deployed systems, including repairs, upgrades, and logistics coordination.

  • Background in test & evaluation, including test plan execution, data collection, analysis, and reporting.

  • Excellent written communication skills for generating test plans, field service reports, installation documentation, and customer briefs.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, including short-notice assignments as mission demands.

  • Active U.S. Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one.

  • Experience with various operating systems including but not limited to Linux Distros: Red Hat, Debian as well as Windows.

  • Fluency operating within a command prompt environment.

  • Must possess the physical capability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs, as lifting and moving of equipment may be required in certain work environments.
