PerceptView was born from decades-long experience providing robust video tracking systems and applied CUAS expertise through Ross Lamm’s machine vision and tracking organization PerceptiVU and prior CUAS organization Black Sage Technologies.

Lamm’s PerceptiVU specialized in consulting and software for machine vision, pattern recognition, and target tracking. PerceptiVU served leading industry and research organizations such as:

  • Jet Propulsion Laboratories (JPL)

  • L3-Wescam

  • SAIC

  • MIT Lincoln Labs

  • US Navy and US Coast Guard

Notably, PerceptiVU developed and deployed video tracking software and systems in/aboard:

  • Washington DC’s Visual Warning System

  • US Naval ships for the Ship Protection System (SPS)

  • All USCG vessels with helicopter flight decks

  • Numerous luxury yachts for navigation and surveillance

Lamm’s Black Sage Technologies provided 10 years of experience building and delivering end-to-end CUAS solutions. Through his leadership, the company competed in the SOCOM SIP down-select process and became one of only two companies deemed successful out of over 100 initial applicants.

Lamm’s team won multiple IDIQ contracts and pushed the envelope for the art of the possible in the burgeoning CUAS space - including deployment at Changi Airport in Singapore, making it the first in the world CUAS system with defeat capabilities at an international airport.
