THE ROLE

PerceptView is seeking an Assembly Technician responsible for assembling parts and components for new products in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, and supervisor direction. This role includes performing basic diagnostic and functional testing on assembled products prior to shipment, identifying issues, and making necessary adjustments to ensure quality and performance.

Additional responsibilities may include building and assembling equipment in a warehouse or industrial setting. The Technician will be responsible for producing finished products that meet PerceptView specifications while working efficiently in a fast-paced environment supporting delivery to external customers.

  • Location: Garden City, Idaho

  • Type: Full-Time Onsite

  • Work Week: Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm (subject to change depending on need)

  • Travel: Occasional field travel required

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Responsible for the installation of equipment, ensuring it is set up correctly and functions optimally. This might involve working in laboratory settings or traveling to different locations to install equipment in the field, sometimes in challenging environments, to address equipment needs.

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to keep equipment in optimal condition, including inspections, lubrication, and calibration.

  • Maintaining and updating the results related to various tests and inspections.

  • Work with layout drawings, point to point wire list and wiring schematics.

  • Install electrical and electronic parts and hardware in housing or assemblies, using soldering equipment and hand tools.

  • Follow safety protocols, wear proper PPE and maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.

  • Work closely with senior employees and engineers, following their guidance and direction to execute repair and installation tasks effectively. Collaboration with the entire PerceptView team ensures alignment with organizational goals and standards.

  • Interact professionally with clients to understand their needs, provide technical assistance, and ensure satisfaction with our services.

  • Given the dynamic nature of technology and industries, you'll need to stay updated with advancements in relevant technologies, tools, and techniques. Continuous learning and skill development will enhance your expertise and effectiveness in fulfilling your role.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or vocational training preferred.

  • Minimum of 1+ year of hands-on experience in equipment installation, assembly, maintenance, or repair within a technical or industrial environment.

  • Experience working with electrical and electronic systems, wiring schematics, and mechanical assemblies.

  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.

  • Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
